What do you like about general surgery?
The variety of skill sets and exposures that makes you a good doctor, emergency surgeon, elective surgeon and intensivist. A well rounded doctor.

Hepatobiliary surgery (HPB)
What is your research interest?
Quality improvement in pancreatic cancer surgery, surgical site infections, technical approaches to vascular reconstruction, hepatocellular carcinoma system level care
What do you like about this program?
The people: a very supportive, collegial program.
What is your hope for this program?
To continue to innovate, to push ourselves in research, surgery, outcomes, patient care, and in the training we provide.

What do you like about training residents?
Seeing them grow to love surgery, seeing them persevere when challenged, being pushed by them to be better
What is your favourite thing to teach?
Hand sewn bowel anastomosis, kocher maneuver, needle angle and position, tissue dissection tricks

When patients do well
What do you outside of work?
Fitness, travel, friends and family, spoil my dog
