The Ottawa Hospital - General Campus

The Ottawa Hospital General Campus is the main site of the Ottawa Hospital Cancer Program and the Champlain Regional Cancer Program. In addition to the Acute Care Surgery Service, general surgery services included Surgical Oncology, Breast Oncology, Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery, and Colorectal Surgery.

 
 

The Ottawa Hospital - Civic Campus

The Ottawa Hospital Civic Campus is a Level I Trauma Center serving Eastern Ontario and southern Quebec. As well, it houses the Weight Management Clinic (WMC), a Bariatric Centre of Excellence serving Eastern Ontario. In addition to the Acute Care Surgery Service, general surgery services including Trauma Surgery, Abdominal Wall Reconstruction, Colorectal Surgery, and Foregut & Bariatrics. Our surgical teams work closely with the Vascular Surgery, Neurosurgery, and Spine services based out of the Civic Hospital.

 
 

The Ottawa Hospital - Riverside Campus

The Ottawa Hospital's Riverside Campus is one of three main campuses of The Ottawa Hospital - along with the Civic and General campuses, and is the only campus that does not admit patients and has no emergency department. The facility operates for out-patient clinics and procedures during the day Monday - Friday.

 
 

The CHildren’s HOspital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO)

The Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) (Centre hospitalier pour enfants de l'est de l'Ontario) is a major children's hospital and university teaching hospital in Ottawa, Ontario, serving both Eastern Ontario and western Quebec. CHEO is also a tertiary trauma centre for children in Eastern Ontario and one of only seven Level I trauma centres for children in Canada

Hôpital Montfort is a teaching hospital affiliated with the University of Ottawa. It delivers short-term primary and secondary health care in both French and English. The hospital serves over 1.2 million residents of Eastern Ontario, and the Gatineau region of Quebec. Montfort is the only hospital in Ottawa administered in French and the only Francophone academic health care institution west of the province of Quebec.

Pembroke Regional Hospital

Located approximately 150 kilometers north-west of Ottawa, the Pembroke Regional Hospital delivers a broad range of acute, post-acute, outpatient and diagnostic services to a mixed urban and rural population of approximately 55,000 residents in the City of Pembroke, the Town of Petawawa, and surrounding municipalities.

Renfrew Victoria Hospital

Renfrew Victoria Hospital is a 55 bed community hospital in the heart of the Ottawa Valley, a one hour's drive west of Ottawa.  It is a welcoming community with an excellent, experienced surgical team. The goal of surgical services in Renfrew is to provide our patients with high-quality, evidence-based and timely surgical services within their own community and work seemlessly with the Ottawa Hospital when tertiary resources are required.  There are 2 full-time General Surgeons in Renfrew, Drs Carver and Rekman, who you will also work with in Ottawa on the Acute Care Service at the General Hospital.  In Renfrew, They are pleased to have one TOH general surgery resident per block rotating with them and generally encourage this resident to stay in the community while on rotation (fully funded) so they can explore the beautiful area.  The goals of this Community Rotation are mastering common community surgery objectives such as: therapeutic endoscopy, management of benign and malignant skin conditions, clinical and endoscopic management of GI bleeds, and surgical management of hernias, colon cancer, gallbladder disease, plus a wide range of conditions.

 

Qikiqtani General Hospital - Iqualuit, nunavut

 
 
 
 

QGH is a 35 bed acute care facility in Iqaluit. The hospital serves the approximately 16,000 people living in the Qikiqtani (Baffin) Region, which is home to twelve communities spread over approximately one million square kilometres.

The Ottawa Hospital and the Qikiqtani Hospital have a long-standing partnership where patients and providers travel between hospital to connect residents of the Qikiqtani Region to healthcare Services.

Senior residents have the opportunity to complete 1-month general surgery rotations at Qikiqtani General Hospital.
